COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • This is an entry-level course and no previous skills or experience are necessary.

  • However, entrants have:

    • Successfully completed the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test. The purpose of the LLN  test is to ensure that you have the LLN skills needed to undertake your course. It will also show how we can assist you in any areas where you may need help while studying with us.

    • Sufficient level of English proficiency in order to interact with and document client interactions, interpret documents, learner guides and assessment tools, prepare written reports and plans.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and manage professional networks and client relationships with clients of various ages and backgrounds.

  • The course is available to students 18 years and over.​

Work Placement

  • The candidate must have completed at least 80 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

​​

  • The work place clinic must be approved by the RTO and    be a regulated clinical environment that reflects workplace conditions and meet the requirements of the industry operating conditions, including provision of services to     the general public.
     

  • This work placement will need to be organised by each individual student. 

 

  • The RTO will help to secure a suitable workplace for students who cannot find a  workplace where they can practice and develop their newly learned skills.
