Provide First Aid

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty.
-
The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Learn the knowledge and skills to manage emergency first aid situations, including treating an unconscious casualty, performing CPR, DRSABCD, controlling bleeding, responding to burns, shock, breaks, cuts, bites and more.

This course is mandatory for those working in security, childcare and education, aged care and disability and for roles including Workplace First Aiders.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal academic requirements for this qualification however, ICOE requires that all learners:

Be at least 18 years old

Have the physical capacity to perform sustained CPR for at least two minutes

Successfully complete the pre-enrolment interview; and
-
Successfully complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
